When we asked our favourite designer Cassandra Harper to share some of her best tips on a place in Australia close to her heart, her choice quickly fell on the stunning beach side town Byron Bay. And of course she just happens to have a little cottage here to escape her busier days in Brisbane….
” Byron is know by the Aboriginal people as a spiritual and a birthing place, it is one of the most fertile areas of our beautiful country and attracts whales and dolphins all year round. It was formally known as a hippie hang out, but now attracts people from all over the world to find their happy inner hippie!
Byron Bay not only boasts natural beauty, amazing beaches and a temperate subtropical climate, but is also well-known for having one of the highest concentration of creative professionals outside the capital cities, with an abundance of musicians, film-makers, writers and designers calling the town home. There’s magic at work in Byron Bay on Australia’s east coast. “
